Official: Russia's 2022 oil output rises by 2%, exports by 7%

MOSCOW, Jan 16 (PRIME) -- Russia's oil production grew by 2% to 535 million tonnes in 2022, exports increased by 7% in spite of sanctions, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Monday.

"Oil production reached 535 million tonnes last year. It was 10 million tonnes more than in 2021, or plus 2%. Exports grew as well, by 7%," Novak said.

The gasoline output rose by 4.3%, diesel fuel by 6%. The retail price for gasoline increased by 0.7%, for diesel fuel by about 10%.

National market gas sales amounted to 484 billion cubic meters (bcm), sales to China through the Sila Sibiri pipeline reached a record of 15.5 bcm. Liquefied natural gas production increased by 8% to 46 bcm.

The oil and gas revenue of the budget increased by 28%, or by 2.5 trillion rubles in the period.

Coal output rose by 0.3% to 442 million tonnes in 2022, a record earlier established in 2020, he said. Exports decreased by 7.6%, while national market supplies grew by 6.8%.

Electric power consumption increased by 1.5%, the official said.
